Chapter 1475
Yan Aohan shook his head slightly. "I don't know. Let's follow and see. I wanted a chance to meet him anyway."
It was true. Yan Aohan had long wanted to talk to Silver Fox. He hadn't expected Silver Fox to come to him, but this was a good opportunity.
Yan Aohan didn't care about Silver Fox's thoughts. But he was sure of one thing: Silver Fox never visited without a purpose. His arrival meant he had a goal.
Silver Fox led them a short distance, turning a few corners. They arrived at a very quiet teahouse deep in an alley. As the saying goes, good wine needs no bush. This teahouse was truly hidden away.
Silver Fox got out of the car. After Yan Aohan and Zhu Yanyi exited, he said, "I opened this teahouse when I was bored. It has little business, but it is peaceful."
"This place is nice," Yan Aohan agreed, nodding. Even with no customers now, people would eventually find it.
Someone like Silver Fox likely ran the teahouse for interest, not money. Its location highlighted its tranquility.
Yan Aohan and Zhu Yanyi followed Silver Fox inside. The waiter was different from usual. Instead of a young girl, it was a middle-aged man with a white towel over his shoulder, dressed like a Qing Dynasty shop assistant. It had a unique charm.
Silver Fox led them past the first floor to a private room on the second floor. Although only one or two people drank tea downstairs, the upstairs room was quieter. It felt like no one would disturb them.
Even though the teahouse was quiet, they worried about rude intruders. The private room ensured privacy.
"Master, what tea would you like today?" the waiter asked as they sat down.
Silver Fox looked at Yan Aohan and Zhu Yanyi. "What do you want to drink? Don't worry. I source authentic tea from all over the country. There are plenty of good teas."
Zhu Yanyi thought for a moment. "Bring a tea set. Also, some Longjing or Biluochun. Summer is coming, so green tea is better."
"What my wife says is what I want to say," Yan Aohan said, looking as if everything his wife said was right.
Silver Fox smiled softly and nodded to the waiter. "One portion of pre-rain Longjing, one tea set. For snacks: shrimp dumplings, shaomai, char siu buns, and egg tarts. These are Cantonese dim sum. Do you want anything else?"
Zhu Yanyi tilted her head and thought. "Add a fruit platter."
"Okay," the waiter replied. He left and quickly returned with the tea set, hot water, and tea. He also brought the dim sum Silver Fox ordered and the fruit platter Zhu Yanyi requested.
Zhu Yanyi began brewing the tea. Her skills were skilled and elegant. Silver Fox watched her and smiled. "Little Divine Doctor's tea brewing is amazing. Truly first-class."
Yan Aohan smiled slightly. "Ani started learning various skills at five. Tea brewing was one of them. I remember when she first started, Grandpa Yao tasted the tea and pointed out her mistakes."
Zhu Yanyi nodded. "You still remember that? When I was young, my brewing wasn't good enough. Grandpa Yao had high standards, so I had to study hard."
"I never forget anything about you," Yan Aohan said.
Zhu Yanyi smiled, her expression sweet.
Silver Fox watched their interaction with an elegant smile, seeming to appreciate their deep affection.
Zhu Yanyi poured the tea and served them. She took her own cup, smelled it, and tasted it. "This tea is really good. No wonder it's pre-rain Longjing. The color is bright, and the taste is pure."
"If you like it, take some back later. I rarely use this tea for guests. I usually give it as gifts. Since there are few customers, the tea loses flavor over time."
Zhu Yanyi nodded directly. "Okay. I won't be polite then. I'll take some when I leave, as you said."
Silver Fox was satisfied with Zhu Yanyi's attitude. He seemed happy that she was willing to take it.
Yan Aohan did not refuse. He only observed Silver Fox. He still didn't know what Silver Fox wanted or his true purpose. He could guess a little, but he wasn't sure how accurate his guess was.
"Lord Yan, are you staring at me because I have a flower on my face?" Silver Fox wasn't angry at Yan Aohan's scrutiny. He just raised an eyebrow.
Hearing the title, Yan Aohan raised an eyebrow too. "Which faction are you from? Only faction members call me Lord Yan."
Silver Fox laughed lightly. "I don't belong to any faction. But that title belongs to you, doesn't it?"
Yan Aohan looked at Silver Fox with cold eyes. Silver Fox remained calm and didn't explain further. He said, "Lord Yan, Little Divine Doctor, do you know? The Godfather gave me an interesting order."
"What order?" Zhu Yanyi asked.
"He wants me to get close to you, win your favor, and preferably break up your marriage with Lord Yan," Silver Fox said with a grin.
Zhu Yanyi laughed. "Break up our marriage? Can she do that? Does she think our love is a business deal? Highest bidder wins? She must have a problem with her brain." She shook her head, clearly worried about the Godfather's intelligence.
"Yes," Silver Fox nodded slightly. "He really thinks that. In his mind, no relationship in this world cannot be broken by money."
"Nonsense," Zhu Yanyi sneered. "She can't break us up with money."
Seeing Zhu Yanyi's pout, Yan Aohan rubbed her head. "It's okay. Don't be angry. If you get angry, he will be happy."
Zhu Yanyi nodded slightly, though her mood was a bit bad. "Tell me, after all these years, I haven't used her money. She hasn't raised me. Why does she dislike me so much?"
"Everyone thinks differently," Yan Aohan smiled. Then he looked at Silver Fox. "You told us this for a reason. Tell me, what is your purpose?"
