Zhu Yanyi hummed. “Then I won’t buy you any. It’s still early. It only takes fifteen minutes to drive to the train station. I plan to stop by the Aoyan Medicinal Food Shop to buy breakfast for Principal Liu’s family. Train food is usually not very appetizing.”

Gao Xia strongly agreed. “Train food is not only bad but also expensive. Principal Liu and his wife probably wouldn’t buy it.”

In fact, most travelers avoided train food. Even on long journeys, people preferred bringing their own dry rations, water, or instant noodles, which were very popular now.

“You are so fast. There is still a long queue outside,” Gao Xia remarked. She knew Aoyan Medicinal Food Shop served the most authentic food, but getting it required queuing early because supplies were limited. Yan Aohan had been in and out in just five minutes.

Zhu Yanyi smiled. “We know the owner. We arranged it yesterday, so we just came to pick it up.”

At the train station, Yan Aohan drove through a special channel. Gao Xia truly realized their status was unusual; driving directly into the station was not something money alone could achieve.

“Yes. Hello, Principal Liu. Hello, Madam Liu. The car is over there. We will go directly to Beijing First Hospital,” Zhu Yanyi said with a smile, inviting the family into the car.

Seeing the car parked inside the station, Principal Liu guessed their status was significant but asked no questions. He simply got in.

Zhu Yanyi handed the three breakfasts to Principal Liu’s daughter, Liu Aijia. “I brought breakfast for you three. You probably didn’t eat well on the train. Please eat slowly. It will take about twenty minutes to reach Beijing First Hospital.”

“Thank you,” Liu Aijia said gratefully. They were indeed hungry. As Zhu Yanyi had guessed, they had not eaten on the train, not to save money, but because the food looked unappetizing.

“Breakfast can be ordered and delivered?” Madam Liu asked curiously.

You must order a month in advance, like subscribing to milk. You cannot choose the menu; you eat what the shop provides. Also, delivery is slightly more expensive, so few families order it long-term,” Zhu Yanyi explained with a smile.

“What about you?” Madam Liu asked, surprised.

Zhu Yanyi smiled lightly. “We know the owner. It is easy for us. Those rules do not apply to us.”

“Oh,” Madam Liu nodded, understanding. Connections were indeed important.

Zhu Yanyi added, “Please do not throw away the boxes. I will take them back. They are recyclable and can be reused after high-temperature treatment.”

“I will wash them and return them when we get off,” Liu Aijia offered.
