She had followed Zhu Yanyi up, so she knew she carried nothing on her person. Under such circumstances, what lay before them was truly a miracle. It also proved that Zhu Yanyi was a child blessed by Heaven. No wonder she possessed such spiritual aura and temperament.
The lotus flower and the human figure remained in the air for a full nine minutes before slowly fading away.
Seeing this, Master Wisdom chanted a Buddhist name: "Little donor Zhu Yanyi, you are designated by Guanyin Bodhisattva as the Medical Buddha Girl. I hope you will maintain a kind heart and virtue, saving all living beings."
"Thank you, Master. This believer will remember the Bodhisattva’s orders and your advice. I will study medicine hard to save people with illnesses in the future," Zhu Yanyi answered seriously. This was not just an attitude, but her true heart.
At six years old, her answer was very logical. On this point, everyone believed Zhu Yanyi was the Medical Buddha Girl. There was no other way; everyone had children. Their own children at six were definitely unruly, unlike Zhu Yanyi, who was both spiritual and well-behaved.
One could only say Zhu Yanyi was lucky. The turmoil had passed, and everything was developing now. If it were still that era of chaos, she might have been tied up and treated as a cultist spreading false words.
However, Zhu Yanyi knew the general trend of the times, which is why she dared to do this. If she knew nothing, she wouldn’t dare to calculate so boldly with the world. People actually need faith to urge themselves forward. Before, without faith, many people’s minds were particularly poor. Those with faith, even if they knew they were being deceived, were willing to continue because it was a spiritual support. Zhu Yanyi clearly remembered that in her previous life, some village women and men near her village claimed to be spokespersons for certain Bodhisattvas. Of course, Zhu Yanyi didn’t believe them then, but some signs were really hard to explain with science.
First was inviting the souls of the dead to possess bodies, commonly known as 'inviting immortals'. She didn’t remember much else, but Zhu Yanyi remembered that a hundred days after her brother-in-law passed away in her previous life, Xie Xinlian took her to invite immortals. They specially chose a village woman from out of town. That woman actually chattered on and told some things. Zhu Yanyi remembered she had absolutely not said these things, but the woman spoke them fluently. Just listening, one had to believe.
Unlike her half-belief and half-doubt in the previous life, Zhu Yanyi believed absolutely in this life. Having experienced the Hall of Yanluo, seen Venerable Yanluo and the Judge, and seen Guanyin Bodhisattva, she believed, though she didn’t say it, that gods and Buddhas existed in this world. Since she believed, she had to do what she said. The saying "Heaven sees what humans do" was not just six simple words, but had true meaning.
Zhu Yanyi also believed that the idiom "accumulating goodness leads to virtue" was not baseless. So, she would absolutely walk the path of medicine.
Master Wisdom looked at his little disciple in front of him. He saw the determination in her eyes clearly and distinctly. He felt comforted in his heart: "Good, little donor, just remember it. Don’t feel burdened. You are the Medical Buddha Girl of the Guanyin Temple in Sicheng Town. This is something everyone can prove. No one dares to doubt."
"That’s right." A Guang had also recovered her senses by now. The miracle just now was truly shocking, but she felt particularly joyful in her heart. With such a miracle, and with Zhu Yanyi as the Bodhisattva’s spokesperson, she didn’t worry at all that her place would remain unknown: "Rest assured, you belong to Sicheng Town as the Medical Buddha Girl. Absolutely no one dares to bully you."
