The quiet compartment was suddenly broken by a burst of noise. Before Zhu Yanyi and the others could react, the carriage door swung open. A woman rushed in, slammed the door shut, and looked at the three of them.
"Let me hide here for a bit," she said.
Zhu Yanyi was woken up by the disturbance. She glanced at the woman and said, "Sister Qin, Sister Zhang, ask her to leave." After all, she was just a child; it was natural to be grumpy when woken up.
Qin Tianxiang and Zhang Yan didn’t know why Zhu Yanyi spoke this way, but since Zhu Yanyi had given the order, they naturally obeyed. Qin Tianxiang stood up.
"This sister-in-law, please leave," she said.
"I’m just hiding for a moment. Why are you so unhelpful?" The woman looked displeased, a hint of gloom appearing in her eyes.
"This is our private compartment. We don’t want to be disturbed. Please leave." Qin Tianxiang now felt something was wrong with the woman. She pulled the carriage door open, pointed outside, and made a "please leave" gesture. Her tone was particularly firm.
The woman seemed to be making trouble on purpose. "There are only three of you in this compartment, and one seat is empty. Why won’t you let me hide here?" It seemed she had set her sights on the empty seat.
"Sister Qin, hand her over to the train police. I suspect she is part of a gang," Zhu Yanyi sat up. She didn’t want to explain further to the woman.
"You’re talking nonsense!" The woman’s face turned ugly. She seemed surprised that Zhu Yanyi would say such things. "You’re so young, yet you slander people. Be careful of karma."
Zhu Yanyi sneered. "I don’t know about karma, but I know one thing: if anyone gets karma, it should be you first. You smell of anesthetic. A woman dressed as a farmer shouldn’t smell like that. It only means you approached us with a purpose."
As Zhu Yanyi finished speaking, Luo Gang and the other two men heard the noise and came over. Luo Gang asked, "Miss, what happened?"
Qin Tianxiang explained the situation. Luo Gang looked at the woman and grabbed her arm. "I’ll handle this. Tianxiang, Zhang Yan, just protect the Miss." With that, she left.
Zhu Yanyi didn’t care where Luo Gang took the woman. She thought for a moment, then rummaged through her luggage. On the surface, she took out a bottle, but in reality, she retrieved it from the Ruyi Space. She handed it to Zhang Yan.
"Divide the pills inside. Everyone should take one. For a month, you won’t be afraid of any drugs, knockout powders, or anesthetics. It’s better to be careful when traveling," Zhu Yanyi said.
Zhang Yan nodded. She opened the bottle, poured out several pills, and distributed them to Qin Tianxiang, Wang Ye, and Wang Weiguo. As for Luo Gang, she would give her one when she returned. She also took one herself before speaking.
"Yanyi, did that person really smell of anesthetic?" Zhang Yan asked.
Zhu Yanyi nodded. "It’s a type of Chinese herbal anesthetic, a variant of Mafeisan. However, the herbs used are rare, so the scent is faint, like mint. Because I deal with medicine all day, I can tell the difference. Ordinary people would just think it smells like mint."
Thinking of the middle-aged woman, Zhu Yanyi felt annoyed. Her luck on this trip was terrible. On the way here, she had encountered child traffickers. Now, on the way back, she had met a woman with unknown intentions.
