"Such a pity," Wang Annie whispered.
Zhu Yanyi didn't mind. "You guys, whether I get bonus points or not, if I join the event and win, I will always treat everyone. So don't worry about snacks."
"So we will have snacks from time to time in the future," Liu Min nodded seriously beside her. The others looked as if it were completely natural.
Zhu Yanyi held her forehead. "Is it okay for you older sisters to eat my food so often?"
"Of course it is!" The other seven said in unison. Laughter filled Dorm 306, lively and warm.
A week passed quickly. Except for the knowledge competition on September 3rd, nothing else happened. It was time for Zhu Yanyi to go home. Since her school in the city finished earlier than City No. 1 High School, she and Cheng Chen went to wait at the gate of City No. 1 High School first. They arrived there, and within ten minutes, the class at City No. 1 High School ended. Zhu Yanli came out about ten minutes after the bell rang, clearly having gone back to her dorm to get her things first. Seeing Zhu Yanyi and Cheng Chen, she waved. "Cheng Chen, Ani."
"Sister," Zhu Yanyi and Cheng Chen waved back to Zhu Yanli. After the three of them met up, they took a bus to the bus station, preparing to go home. There were no buses after 5:30 PM, but since they were returning on a Saturday noon, there were still a few buses passing through Sicheng Town in the afternoon. Zhu Yanyi and the others didn't plan to eat lunch near the school; they would take the bus home directly after class.
When they arrived in Sicheng Town, the two sisters parted ways with Cheng Chen. Although Cheng Chen invited them to eat lunch at his house, they declined. It was better to go home for a meal after their first time away for school. There would be plenty of opportunities to eat at Cheng's house in the future.
When Zhu Yanyi and her sister arrived home, they found that Zhu Shunyao and the others hadn't eaten lunch yet and were waiting for them. Zhu Yanyi and the others didn't make a fuss. They quickly helped serve the rice and started eating. As they ate, Zhu Yanyi said, "Dad, you should eat first in the future. What if we go to Godfather's house for a meal? It wouldn't be good if you waited for us."
Zhu Shunyao thought for a moment. "You came back with Cheng Chen."
Zhu Yanli took a bite before speaking. "Yes. Cheng Chen and Ani finished school first, then came to City No. 1 High School to wait for me. We came back together after I finished school. When we got off the bus, Cheng Chen invited us to eat at his house. Ani said that since it was our first time going out for school, we should eat at home. We can go to Cheng's house for a meal when there is a chance later."
Zhu Yanyi took a sip of soup. "It's good that we came back. Otherwise, we wouldn't have known you were waiting for us. It's one thing for you two to wait, but Doumiao is so young. Why make her wait too?" Zhu Yanyi felt sorry for her younger brother.
Zhu Zhibin laughed happily. "Don't worry, Ani Sister. I ate peach cakes."
Zhu Yanyi tapped Zhu Zhibin's head with her finger. "Still eating peach cakes? You should eat less of those snack pastries. You need to eat proper meals, or you won't grow tall in the future."
Zhu Zhibin was unconvinced. "Ani Sister, you're tricking me. In my class at school, I am the youngest, but I am not the shortest. I am of average height. When I am as old as them, I will definitely be taller than them."
Zhu Yanyi chuckled twice. "When you grow older, won't they grow older too? You are getting older, and they are getting older too."
Zhu Zhibin wasn't fooled. "Ani Sister, I am smart now. I can only listen to half of what you say, or you will trick me."
