"Stop it! How can you talk about marriage in front of a minor like me? Are you not ashamed?" Zhu Yanyi’s face turned red. She glared at Yan Aohan. Although she was only fourteen, she had lived two lifetimes. Yet, she was being flirted with by someone actually younger than her, and she was blushing furiously. She felt she had wasted her two lives.
Yan Aohan looked at her with a faint smile. "It won’t be long."
"What won’t be long?" Zhu Yanyi asked, confused.
Yan Aohan smiled lightly. "You will be an adult soon. Besides, even if you are not yet an adult, your thoughts and actions are more mature than most adults. No one will treat you as a child."
"You could just say I am precocious," Zhu Yanyi pouted.
"If you want to put it that way, sure," Yan Aohan agreed without denying it.
Zhu Yanyi puffed her cheeks to show her displeasure. Yan Aohan tapped her lips gently. "Alright, be good. Don’t be angry. Since you don’t want a lab in the courtyard, I have many other houses in the capital. I will find one near your school and renovate it. When you are not boarding, or don’t want to return to the courtyard, you can stay there."
"How do you know which school I will attend?" Zhu Yanyi seemed suddenly clueless.
Yan Aohan looked at her with that same faint smile. Zhu Yanyi suddenly realized. "Right. You arranged my school." Indeed, Yan Aohan had suggested she study in the capital and arranged everything. She knew more than she did.
"I know your goal is the Military Medical University. So, I chose the Military Medical High School for you," Yan Aohan said, stopping her teasing to inform her that the high school matter was settled.
"Can I really enter the Military Medical High School? Isn’t that only for children of military personnel?" Zhu Yanyi looked puzzled. "That place is not for ordinary people. Can I really go there?"
"Why not? I am behind you, so getting in is very simple," Yan Aohan asked, tilting his head to look at her. "Are you worried about your political background check?" That was likely the only thing worrying her.
Zhu Yanyi nodded. Most of her background was fine, but she was unsure about her biological grandfather. She felt it was unfair. Her biological grandfather was worse than Zhu Guifu, that scumbag grandfather. At least she had seen Zhu Guifu when she was young. She had never even met this one, yet she might be dragged down by her.
"Do not worry. Whether the person who appeared is your biological grandfather or not, even if he is, it may not be a problem. During the turmoil years, many things happened. Many veterans were stranded abroad due to missions. Your grandfather might be one of them. Even in the worst case, if there is a problem, so what? You have never met him. Besides, you have me and the old gentlemen behind you. Your medical skills are excellent. It is just attending high school and university. There is no need to make such a fuss," Yan Aohan said calmly, but his tone was particularly domineering.
Zhu Yanyi looked at Yan Aohan deeply. She knew in her heart that if she could enter those schools, it was because of Yan Aohan’s influence. "I am really curious. Who are you? Why do you have such power?"
