"If I go to Grandma Chang’s place, I’ll basically eat dinner there," Zhu Yanyi said directly. If she visited her masters and didn’t stay for a meal, they certainly wouldn’t let her leave empty-handed.

Yan Aohan thought for a moment. "In that case, I’ll bring roast duck when I come back tonight for a late-night snack."

"Sounds good." Zhu Yanyi considered it; this arrangement was quite nice. She looked at Yan Aohan again. "Do you have something to do tomorrow?"

Yan Aohan rubbed Zhu Yanyi’s head. "I need to go back to the Yan family home. I’ve been away for years and haven’t been home in a long time. I plan to visit my family tomorrow and see them."

"In that case, it’s fine if you don’t come to the courtyard tomorrow. You can take us for roast duck when you have free time. The duck isn’t going anywhere," Zhu Yanyi said straightforwardly.

Zhu Yanli and Zhu Zhibin also nodded. Although Zhu Zhibin loved roast duck, he wasn’t the type to throw a tantrum over it.

Yan Aohan chuckled lightly. "My family is used to me not being around. A brief visit is enough. If I stayed overnight, they’d actually feel uncomfortable." He continued, "Alright, let’s do it my way. Besides, tomorrow I need to check on Doumiao’s condition. If there are no issues, I’ll send him to school in a couple of days. We can’t wait until his next holiday to eat this duck. Once he’s in school, even if he gets a break, he might not even want to rest." For Yan Aohan, such small matters shouldn’t linger; it was better to resolve them promptly.

Hearing Yan Aohan’s reasoning, Zhu Yanyi didn’t raise any further objections. "Then let’s do as you say."

"Alright, everyone go rest now. I’ll take you to the Capital Hospital early tomorrow morning." After saying this, Yan Aohan watched the three of them return to their respective rooms before heading back to his own.

She had just returned to her room and taken a shower when the phone rang. She picked it up. "Yan Aohan."

"You brat, since you’re back in the Capital, why haven’t you come to see us?" Grandpa Yan Xicheng expressed his dissatisfaction immediately.

"You’re busy kissing and cuddling with Mom every day. Why should I come back? And I’m busy too." Yan Aohan didn’t mind the old man’s loud voice at all. It was just loud; to him, the old man was all bark and no bite.

"Alright, speak nicely if you have something to say," Madam Alogesang said helplessly from the side, watching the old man. The father and son were competing in volume over the phone.

"Cough." The old man glanced helplessly at his wife, then said, "So, when are you coming back?"

"If everything goes well tomorrow, I’ll drop by. Do you have something specific?" Yan Aohan asked directly. He knew his old man too well; he wouldn’t say that unless there was a reason.

"It’s not a big deal. Mainly, you’re twenty-six now. Shouldn’t you find a partner? I want to hold a grandchild." The old man used this excuse to push for marriage.

"Grandchild?" Yan Aohan gave a cold smile. "You already have grandsons, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters. Why do you need another one from me?" Yan Aohan hadn’t forgotten that he had two older brothers and an older sister. The eldest, Yan Huajun, had a daughter and a son. The second, Yan Hongyi, had twin sons. The third, Yan Zhaoxia, had a daughter. He couldn’t figure out when his old man had started lacking grandchildren.
