Zhu Yanyi and Luo Kun frowned slightly upon seeing this. Falling behind was dangerous. This was the Military Medical Academy, and their training followed strict soldier standards, emphasizing team spirit above all. They had been warned upon arrival: if one fell behind, it would drag down the others. After a brief exchange of glances, Zhu Yanyi and Luo Kun slowed their pace together. Once Zheng Fei caught up, they each took one of her arms, supporting her as they ran forward to rejoin the formation. To avoid disrupting the main group, the three of them ran at the very back.
Pan Hua observed this silently. He said nothing until everyone had completed ten laps. Only then did he assemble the squad and speak.
"Look at yourselves. What do you look like? It was merely a five-kilometer run, yet you are drenched in sweat and gasping for air. If you were on the battlefield, how could you possibly keep up with the other soldiers?"
"We might not even go to the battlefield in the future," someone muttered quietly.
"Who is speaking? Step forward," Pan Hua demanded loudly.
A male student stepped out. "Report, Instructor. It was me. My ambition is to become a scientist. I have no intention of going to war."
"Regardless of your future profession, right here and now, you are my soldiers. My words require only two responses: obedience. Three words: absolute obedience. Do you understand?" Pan Hua asked loudly.
"Understood~" Many students, still breathless from the run, answered weakly.
"Have you not eaten? Speak louder!" Pan Hua roared.
"Understood!" This time, their voices were much stronger.
"Good." Pan Hua stated directly, "The student with objections, step out. Whispering privately violates discipline. You are punished with five extra laps. Execute immediately."
The boy’s face fell, but he dared not resist. He began to run slowly.
After dealing with the boy, Pan Hua turned to Zhu Yanyi, Luo Kun, and Zheng Fei, pointing at them. "You three, step out."
The three girls stepped out quickly. Pan Hua said, "I ordered you to run, not to perform sisterly affection. Since you had the strength to carry her, you clearly have plenty of energy left. Five extra laps. Execute immediately."
"Report, Instructor," Luo Kun spoke up.
"Speak."
"We simply didn't want a sister to fall behind. This is team spirit. Why are we being punished?" Luo Kun asked.
"Team spirit is for those who can contribute. Someone who cannot even take a step properly would be a burden to everyone on the battlefield. You two could have escaped, but for her sake, you might all die together," Pan Hua stated bluntly.
"Report, Instructor," Zheng Fei spoke up.
"Speak."
"It was my fault that dragged them down. Why are you punishing them?" Zheng Fei asked.
Pan Hua replied directly, "To warn you. Because of your burden, they are punished. So, either they abandon you in the future, or you improve yourself."
Zhu Yanyi tugged lightly at Luo Kun’s sleeve. Forget it. Five laps are just five laps. For the two of them, it was nothing. Thus, they began running side by side around the track.
Students from other training groups watching from the side saw this. They began to admire Zhu Yanyi and Luo Kun. These were two girls who, after running ten laps, still had the strength to run more, and they looked relaxed, showing no sign of difficulty. Could they be reincarnated female warriors?
