The students within the first three laps had light tasks and ran quickly. However, the only dormitory left behind, Dorm 417, was truly exhausted. It was tiring just to watch them. Girls’ stamina is limited, and running seven laps in the middle of the night was incredibly difficult. Not every girl was as strong as Luo Kun or Zhu Yanyi. They walked, then ran, then walked again. By the time they finished, it was nearly three in the morning.
Coach Chen glanced coldly at the girls from Dorm 417. "Seven laps took you nearly an hour. If you were my soldiers, I would reject every single one of you. That is all for today. Go back and rest. Dismissed."
Waking everyone up in the middle of the night was just for punishment. No one cared about anything else. They had to wake up at 5:30 AM tomorrow. They just wanted to sleep.
Zhu Yanyi and her friends hurried back to their dormitory to sleep. They had nothing to say. Their only thought was sleep. If the sky fell, the tall people would hold it up. They didn’t want to worry about anything else.
The next morning, military training continued as usual. But after the late-night gathering, everyone looked tired.
"It feels like there are more people today," Zheng Feier said, noticing students entering the school gate.
"Did training make you silly? Today is when the second and third-year students return for registration," Hui Junlan reminded her with a smile.
"Oh right. It’s the 31st already. Time flies. We’ve been training for almost a week," Zheng Feier realized.
Zhu Yanyi nodded beside her. "It seems the school will be lively these days."
"It’s okay. Our school doesn’t recruit too many students. There are only three classes in the third year and three in the second year. Only our first-year group is large, with four classes," Ma Yaya explained.
"Yaya, you know so much. I admire that," Zheng Feier said, looking at Ma Yaya with respect.
Ma Yaya smiled. "I’ve decided. I’m not good at anything else, but I’m great at gossip. So, I want to be a war reporter. It’s best to cultivate interests early. I’ve been gathering information about this school. It’s a kind of gossip, right?"
"Hehe." Zhu Yanyi, Luo Kun, and Hui Junlan could only laugh helplessly. These two were definitely the top gossips.
"It’s good to have a goal. People fear having no direction," Zhu Yanyi agreed, nodding.
"Exactly. Zhu Yanyi, what is your goal?" Hui Junlan asked. "I remember you said you wanted to be a doctor?"
"Yes. I knew since I was little that I wanted to be a doctor," Zhu Yanyi said with a smile. "Don’t you want to be one too?"
"Then let’s apply to medical school together," Hui Junlan said seriously.
"I plan to be a soldier, so I will apply to military academy," Luo Kun stated directly. She looked at Zheng Feier. "Feier, what about you? Yaya wants to be a war reporter. What do you plan to do?"
Zheng Feier tilted her head and thought. "I don’t think I’m as capable as you all. But I will be a pharmacist."
"That’s not bad. Let’s each work hard for our own goals," Luo Kun said. She raised her hand. The other four understood and placed their hands on top. Together, they shouted, "Go for it!"
