The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs was currently holding the International Medical Association accountable, demanding an explanation.
After the news of Master Yao’s disappearance was reported, it took less than six hours for several of his disciples to arrive. Although Colin had never met them, he knew that any disciple of Master Yao would be formidable. He chose to avoid confrontation, fearing he might become a scapegoat. Thus, he hid quietly in his temporary practice chamber.
When Zhu Yanyi arrived, she was reviewing documents. Seeing her, she looked slightly surprised. "Who are you?"
Zhu Yanyi did not beat around the bush. "Hello, sir. I am Zhu Yanyi, the youngest disciple of Hua Tian Yao."
"Hello, Miss Zhu. I am Colin, the Vice President of the International Medical Association and the coordinator for treating difficult cases here." Colin’s heart was pounding. He had been hiding, yet Master Yao’s disciple had still found him.
Zhu Yanyi did not care about Colin’s inner thoughts. She could guess her feelings from her expression. She said simply, "I am here to learn the specific details of my master’s disappearance. Please tell me everything in detail." She added, "Mr. Colin, please rest assured. China does not punish innocent people for others' crimes. Although I am very worried about my master, if you tell me the truth without hiding anything, we will not hold you responsible."
Hearing that she was not there to settle scores, Colin felt much more at ease. she had never encountered such a troublesome situation. As a doctor, she was always respected everywhere, even by dangerous criminals. she had never heard of a doctor being kidnapped.
"Master Yao arrived here three days ago. He didn’t even drink a drop of water before insisting on seeing the patients first. So, he went to that village with his own people from China. He only asked me to send one staff member to guide them. He had his own bodyguards, so I did not send any additional personnel."
Zhu Yanyi nodded slightly. She would not blame Colin for not sending more people. Knowing her master, she understood that once she made a decision, no one could change it. She signaled for her to continue.
Colin continued, "After checking the villagers on the island, Master Yao said little. He only mentioned needing to find medicine and wanted to leave that night. Since we were unfamiliar with the area, I stopped him. He did not go that night, but left early the next morning with Master Chun. He promised to return in two days. He should have been back yesterday evening, but he did not appear. I had to lead a search party. We found Master Chun unconscious on the edge of a cliff in the southeast. Five of the accompanying people were also seriously injured and unconscious. I brought them back and reported to the International Medical Association, who then notified you."
Zhu Yanyi nodded slightly. "How many people did my master bring originally?"
"When Master Yao and Master Chun left together, they were accompanied by seven Chinese bodyguards. Five have been found. Two are still missing along with Master Yao. We have no news of them yet." Colin answered seriously.
