Yan Aohan did not refuse. "Alright, I’ll have a drink with Uncle Shun Yao."
The two men drank, while the other four did not. Xie Xinlian said, "We brought plenty of fruit, snacks, and nuts this time. Take some back when you return to school. Also, bring some for your masters."
"Okay." Zhu Yanyi and her two siblings nodded, agreeing with Xie Xinlian.
Uncle Shun Yao took a sip of wine. "Seeing you three siblings safe and sound puts your mother and me at ease."
"Uncle Shun Yao, rest assured. I am in the capital. No one will bully you three," Yan Aohan said, clinking his glass against Shun Yao’s.
Shun Yao nodded. He never doubted this. Thinking of something, he said, "Little Yan, I have a favor to ask."
"Uncle Shun Yao, just say it," Yan Aohan said seriously.
"I don’t know many people in this city. Besides you, there is only the godfather family of Ani and the siblings. But Brother Baokun is in Sicheng Town. It wouldn’t be right for me to just barge into the Cheng family’s place. So, after thinking it over, I can only ask for your help," Shun Yao said softly.
"Look at you, Uncle. Though I’m not your biological son, I truly treat you as my father in Sicheng Town. You and Auntie have taken care of me, treating me like your own nephew. So, just tell me what you need," Yan Aohan said sincerely. He had feared Shun Yao would be too polite. He was actually happy that Shun Yao needed his help.
Hearing this, Zhu Yanyi glanced at Yan Aohan. This habit of taking on everything didn’t seem like him. He usually did it for her. Thinking of this, Zhu Yanyi felt a bit sweet, yet slightly speechless. She wasn’t afraid he would ask for anything unreasonable.
Yan Aohan seemed to sense something. He looked at Zhu Yanyi, his eyes holding a calming warmth. Zhu Yanyi stopped worrying.
"I plan to buy a house in the capital. I intend to come here in March or April next year. I want to open a vegetable market here, specifically to supply our Azure Sovereign vegetables. So, besides a house for living, I need a large storefront for the market," Shun Yao said seriously. "I am unfamiliar with the market here. I am not from the capital, so I worry about being cheated. After thinking it over, I want you to help me keep an eye on this."
"Uncle Shun Yao, roughly how much do you plan to spend?" Yan Aohan asked after a brief pause.
"I don’t know the housing prices here well. However, I hope the house has at least four or five rooms. The three siblings each need one. Your aunt and I need one. We should also have a guest room, just in case someone else needs to stay temporarily," Shun Yao said seriously.
Yan Aohan nodded slightly. "Don’t worry about the housing. Which area do you prefer, Uncle Shun Yao?"
"Preferably a place with more people, and closer to the market we plan to use," Shun Yao said, having clear ideas.
Yan Aohan thought for a moment and smiled. "Uncle Shun Yao, housing in the city center is recovering now. Many people are coming to the capital, so there are fewer houses for sale and more for rent. However, I have a small two-story villa in the city center. It has two floors."
