Zhu Yanyi handed a pill to each of the other six people. "Take these. I added special herbs to balance body temperature. The effect lasts about five hours. We must move quickly to reach our destination."
After swallowing the pills, everyone quickly packed up and cleaned all traces of their presence. Then, they hurriedly left the oasis. Time was limited, so they could not afford to delay.
Luo Gang was very familiar with the area. Seeing this, Zhu Yanyi understood clearly. Luo Gang had done extensive research to come here, all for the sake of avenging her brother.
They soon arrived at another oasis. From a distance, they saw patrol lights moving back and forth. Zhu Yanyi and the others found a blind spot to hide.
"This is a blind spot. Reaching the riverbank is not difficult, but crossing the river is. The river here is not very wide, only about five meters, so we must wade through it. However, they have set up surveillance cameras along the riverbank. This information came from those who sacrificed themselves," Luo Gang said quietly, looking ahead.
"Brother Luo, your preparation is quite thorough," Zhu Yanyi said with a smile, glancing at Luo Gang.
Luo Gang gave a bitter smile, looking helpless. "I keep a close eye on everything here for revenge, so I naturally know some things."
Zhu Yanyi nodded slightly to show she understood, then said, "Cameras cannot see everything. Each camera has a blind spot. Although there are searchlights here, there are no streetlights. So, the cameras probably won't record much at night." She spoke with a playful tone.
"That may be true, but the surveillance will still catch shadows. If there are shadows, they will discover we have crossed," Luo Gang said seriously.
Zhu Yanyi smiled faintly. "I know a good place. Follow me."
Luo Gang was slightly stunned. She had never expected Zhu Yanyi to be so confident. Zhu Yanyi smiled. Although there were not many plants here, the oasis had plenty of vegetation. She had quickly mapped out the situation in her mind, knowing exactly which areas were blind spots and which would be detected.
Zhu Yanyi did not go directly. Instead, she sneaked about ten meters to the left. Then, she spotted a surveillance camera. Pointing at it, she said, "See that? There is a cluster of desert roses right next to that camera."
Luo Gang nodded. "I see it. Do you mean using the desert roses to block that camera?" she understood her plan immediately.
Zhu Yanyi nodded with a smile. "Don't you think this is a good method?" With a slight wave of her hand, she released a burst of internal energy. The desert roses seemed to be hit by a strong wind, swaying to completely block the ground-level camera.
Seeing that it was done, Zhu Yanyi stood up and walked over boldly. Before reaching the lakeside, she looked at the five-meter-wide river and said to Luo Gang, "Give me the rope."
Luo Gang did not understand what Zhu Yanyi intended to do, but she handed her the rope anyway.
Zhu Yanyi estimated the distance. She tied one end of the rope to a fixed object on this side, using a slip knot. Then, she slung the remaining rope over her back, pushed off lightly with her foot, and leaped directly across the five-meter gap.
