"Fully recovered." Luo Kun had rested for a month and was now completely healed. "Yanyi, when are you coming out? Let’s get together."
Zhu Yanyi thought for a moment. "Okay. You pick a place, and we’ll meet."
Luo Kun considered it. "I got an invitation from the High School recently. It’s their anniversary. How about we meet then?"
Zhu Yanyi snorted. "No thanks. I can’t go. Better if you invite the guys from Dorm 403. By the way, Junlan is my student now. If you come out, don’t tease her."
Luo Kun laughed. "Would we dare? Junlan has always admired you. Even though we were roommates, we have different goals now. She is very serious about medicine. Becoming your student was her dream. Don’t worry, no one will tease her. In fact, doctors worldwide will only envy her."
"Fine. Set a time. Let’s meet at the Capital Club. It’s safer there," Zhu Yanyi said.
"Deal. You’re paying. I’m just a poor soldier with no money," Luo Kun said directly.
Zhu Yanyi smiled. "Okay, I’ll treat you. I can afford it. Tell me the time, and I’ll book a private room at the Capital Club. That way, everyone can go easily. Unless something unexpected happens, we’ll meet. If there’s an issue, I’ll let you know."
"Alright." Luo Kun paused, then asked, "Yanyi, have you felt bitter these years?"
"Bitter?" Zhu Yanyi blinked, then laughed. "Every job is hard. That’s what others see. Like you. To me, you’re a soldier. Soldiers have it tough. But you don’t feel it’s hard because you love your work. Right?"
Luo Kun nodded. "Yes. I don’t feel it’s hard. I think this life is good."
"Exactly. Same for me. You might think being a doctor is hard. Major surgeries can last hours. But if you love the job, it doesn’t feel hard. So I’m not bitter. Whether you think I am is not up to me."
Zhu Yanyi laughed.
Luo Kun understood and smiled. "I was worrying for nothing. I’ll go invite people and let you know." They said goodbye and hung up.
"The High School anniversary. I know about it. The principal actually sent you an invitation." Yan Aohan pointed to the table by the door. Indeed, an invitation lay there.
Zhu Yanyi stood up, picked it up, and sighed. "I know what the principal means. I did graduate from there. But I really can’t go back."
"It’s fine if you go. Few people can handle you now," Yan Aohan said, knowing her skills well.
Zhu Yanyi smiled. "I’m fine going. But if someone sneaks in, it endangers others. Better I don’t go. Besides, I don’t like crowds. You know that."
Yan Aohan looked at her seriously. "I just don’t want you to have regrets. I checked your past life. Your grades were average. Because of work, you never attended reunions or anniversaries. You felt it was pointless. You hadn’t achieved much, so it was boring. Even after becoming a famous writer, you didn’t go. You didn’t like fake looks. But now you’re different. You’re a little divine doctor. People only look up to you. So go if you want. I promise nothing bad will happen."
Zhu Yanyi smiled lightly. "Forget it. If I go, I’ll only hear flattery. Better to donate money to the High School and stay away. I don’t want to get dizzy from all the praise."
Yan Aohan smiled. she understood. She wasn’t avoiding danger; she truly didn’t want to go. At her status, people would only look up to her. She wouldn’t like an environment full of fake praise.
"Then don’t go," Yan Aohan laughed. "Spend time dating me instead. If I leave next year, we might not meet for years."
Zhu Yanyi laughed loudly and nodded. "Okay, okay. I’ll date you."
Luo Kun acted fast. She set the time and told Zhu Yanyi. It was this Saturday. Zhu Yanyi didn’t argue. She called Taishu Yuanxiang to book a sixth-floor private room, then told Luo Kun the room number. That was it.
For the next few days, Zhu Yanyi spent most of her time writing the school recruitment plan.
Despite Yan Aohan’s teasing, she took it seriously. It was her school. She wanted to find good students. Since it was the first time, she paid special attention and worked very hard.
Yan Aohan saw her buried in work and didn’t disturb her. But seeing her struggle all day, she paused, then pulled her out for a walk, claiming she needed company.
This time, Yan Aohan took Zhu Yanyi to an orphanage. They didn’t go inside. They stood at the gate. "Today is when the orphans at Rainbow Orphanage take the physical enhancement agent."
Zhu Yanyi knew the agent was being promoted, but not this fast. "So soon?"
"Not fast. Because your inventions are valued. Almost everyone in the Capital has taken it. Next is nationwide promotion. So, Ani, don’t worry. The health of Chinese people is being solved."
Zhu Yanyi understood. She valued Traditional Chinese Medicine, but this was natural. With the agent, many people’s physical strength improved. It was a step forward for national health.
"Uncle, I have heart disease. I was left at the door because of it. If I take this agent, will my heart disease get better?" A boy, looking about seven, asked the staff with clear eyes.
