Zhu Yanyi and her siblings walked over with smiles. "Xiao Zhangzi, did you not sleep well yesterday? You look so tired."

Zhang Haifeng yawned and rubbed his eyes. "It is the end of the year. The security company has many things to check. I was very busy. I did not sleep until nearly four in the morning." He gestured for them to move. "Let’s go. I have arranged a small bus to take you home."

The group had no objections. They followed Zhang Haifeng onto the small bus and headed home.

The private ride was fast. When they arrived at their house, they saw Xie Xinlian sweeping the courtyard. The three siblings called out, "Mom."

Xie Xinlian’s eyes lit up when she saw them. "Ah Nang, Ani, Dou Miao, you are back."

"Yes, we are back." The three siblings ignored their luggage and rushed to surround Xie Xinlian.

"Mom, I missed you so much," Zhu Yanyi said.

Zhu Yanyi giggled. Then she looked around. "Where is Dad?"

Xie Xinlian answered directly. "Your father is in the group practice chamber. It is the end of the year, and he is giving gifts to the staff. I called him. He will be back soon."

Zhu Yanyi held her bowl and walked around. The house looked mostly the same, except for a new telephone in the first-floor study. "You installed a telephone at home? Why did you not tell us? We kept calling the practice chamber number."

Xie Xinlian laughed. "It was installed ten days ago. I thought you would be coming back soon, so I did not mention it."

Zhu Yanyi nodded, understanding. She finished her bowl of egg and sugar rice cakes and lay on the sofa. "Home is so comfortable."

Zhu Yanli smiled. "Do not get too comfortable. Get up and sort out the local specialties."

Zhu Zhibin laughed loudly from the side. "Look, look. I knew Second Sister wanted to be lazy. I told you not to buy so many gifts. You two insisted on buying so much. Now you do not want to move."

Zhu Yanyi reached out and rubbed Zhu Zhibin’s head. Seeing his unhappy expression, she laughed. "Can you say none of these gifts were bought by you?"
