Chapter 265: Jiang Longcheng Arrives
Zhu Yanyi laughed heartily at Yan Aohan’s words. Her clear, crisp laughter echoed through the vast, empty space, bringing a sense of ease to Yan Aohan.
"Haifeng told me you’ve been quite busy these days," Yan Aohan said. He knew well that the higher-ups valued Zhu Yanyi’s medical skills. "You’ve been interning at the Capital Hospital with Grandpa Yao."
Zhu Yanyi sighed. "Grandpa Yao wants me to take the medical license exam at the end of this month. I’m cramming now, following him for internship experience."
"Does your medical skill really need cramming?" Yan Aohan didn’t believe her.
Zhu Yanyi put on a look of earnest effort. "I enjoy treating difficult cases now, but the basic exam tests only foundational knowledge. I have to review it all again. So, isn’t it natural that I’m cramming?"
"Don’t you know me?" Yan Aohan saw right through her pitiful expression. "You’re doing this on purpose. You think I don’t know you? If your basics weren’t solid, Grandpa Yao wouldn’t let you take the exam. You underestimate him."
Zhu Yanyi tilted her head, looking at her, and sighed. "I can’t fool you. You really can’t compare to Little Zhang. Your intelligence is too high; you crush people easily. You’re hard to trick."
She shook her head, acting helpless. Yan Aohan, however, was speechless. "You underestimate me too. How can you put me in the same category as Haifeng? her intelligence is only comparable to an elementary school student. That insults my IQ."
"You’re awesome," Zhu Yanyi paused, hearing her thick-skinned remark, and gave her a thumbs-up. Indeed, some people’s thick skin knew no bounds.
Yan Aohan’s lips curled up slightly. "Then stay in this courtyard. After your exam, I’ll take you out to have fun."
Zhu Yanyi didn’t refuse. "I never planned to move anyway. In a few days, my dad and others will finish their business and return home. I’ll stay until after the exam. I’ll live in the courtyard for now. Please take care of me."
Yan Aohan nodded. "Good. Don’t worry about anything. This courtyard is under my private name, so no one will know who lives here. That room is yours to use. You can change it however you like."
Zhu Yanyi was slightly stunned. "A room just for me?"
Yan Aohan nodded, then gave her a strange look. "Are you not planning to attend university in the Capital?"
"Of course not," Zhu Yanyi said quickly. "My first choice is the Capital Military Medical University, and my second is the Capital Medical University. No matter what, I’ll be coming to the Capital for school." This had always been her plan. However, the Military Medical University was very hard to enter. Due to concerns about her family background, she only mentioned it casually, but she was confident about the Capital Medical University.
"Then it’s settled," Yan Aohan said. "Since you’ll be studying in the Capital, come out and walk around when you’re free. You can stay in this courtyard on weekends. Besides, it’s inconvenient to keep certain things in your dorm. With a room here, you can store them directly. It’s much easier."
Actually, Zhu Yanyi stored most things in her Ruyi Space. But Yan Aohan’s words reminded her that she needed a house in the Capital. Although she had the space, it couldn’t be exposed. Having a house outside could serve as a cover, and it would be more convenient for house calls. After thinking it over, she agreed happily. "Then I won’t be polite."
