Chapter 699: Instant Karma!

Zhu Zhibin shrugged. "It doesn't matter. I have to go in sooner or later. I don't care when." He sighed deeply, acting like it was fate. Zhu Yanyi and Zhu Yanli laughed at his attitude.

"Let's take Doumiao out to play for two days," Zhu Yanli said. "We’ll have a good meal, then send her to school." She knew that once Zhu Zhibin joined the special class for gifted youth, his free days would end.

Geniuses are often envied. her future would be lonely. Not because she had no friends, but because she had no equals. Zhu Yanli didn't want her brother to have regrets.

Zhu Yanyi nodded in agreement. She understood her sister’s meaning. "Doumiao needs to play, but I should buy clothes too. We left in a hurry and didn't prepare enough. In two days, I’ll take you to see Grandma Chang."

Mrs. Chang was Zhu Yanyi’s guqin teacher. Hearing that Zhu Yanli liked traditional instruments, Zhu Yanyi wanted to find her a good teacher.

"Will that bother Mrs. Chang too much?" Zhu Yanli asked shyly.

Zhu Yanyi shrugged. "No problem. But, sister, do you really want to learn the erhu?" She played the erhu well, but the guqin was her best.

Zhu Yanli smiled. "Yes, I like the erhu. I don't know why, I just like its sound. Of course, I’ll learn other instruments too. I can’t just learn the erhu at the music conservatory. People would laugh."

Zhu Yanyi didn’t mind. "Fine, as long as you like it. It’s a pity you don’t like the guqin. If you did, I could ask Grandma Chang to teach you."

"Silly sister, you like the guqin, that’s enough. I like the erhu. It’s better than Doumiao liking that strange 'Yi Hu' for no reason," Zhu Yanli laughed.

Zhu Zhibin protested quickly. "Big sister, don’t put me down to please Second Sister. What’s wrong with Yi Hu? I think it’s great. And I play Yi Hu better than you play erhu."

"I don’t think you play well. You just make noise," Zhu Yanyi said with disgust. "I wonder what’s in your head. Just messy stuff."

"What messy stuff? Second sister, don’t blame me. I’m not messy. I’m doing serious research," Zhu Zhibin argued.

"Fine. You won’t poison me, so go poison your new classmates," Zhu Yanyi said with a grin. Sending Zhu Zhibin to the special class was the smartest choice. At least there, he could battle wits with others. She wondered who would win.

Zhu Zhibin puffed his cheeks. He couldn’t fight back against his sister’s teasing. He comforted himself: A good man doesn’t fight a woman.

They had arrived at their destination. They rested well that night. The next day, Yan Aohan took them out to buy clothes. As Zhu Yanyi said, they had prepared some things when leaving Sicheng Town, but they still needed more. Some of the clothes they brought weren’t suitable for wearing in the capital.
