Chapter 6: Grand Prize Reward
Yanluo did not feel particularly embarrassed that Zhu Yanyi had seen through the trap he had devised. He merely nodded slightly. "If you wish to archive your records and start anew, you naturally may. However, doing so would not hold equal value to that of a ghost immortal. Therefore, the Underworld will provide you with a corresponding compensation, namely, a drawing opportunity." As he finished speaking, a drawing box appeared before Zhu Yanyi. "It contains various rewards. Whatever you draw is what you get."
Zhu Yanyi nodded slightly. She held no expectations for this drawing, having not even received a commemorative prize in her past life. She casually reached into the box and pulled out a card. The moment the card emerged, the drawing box vanished. Glancing at the characters on the card, she felt a slight surprise. "Grand Prize."
Yanluo reached out and took the card. Upon seeing it, a trace of contemplation flashed in his eyes. "The Grand Prize sends you to a mysterious place to seek opportunities. There are tens of thousands of treasures there. Whatever you grasp becomes yours. It could be a weapon, armor, a spatial artifact, a cultivation technique, or the like. What you ultimately obtain depends entirely on your own fortune."
The moment the word fell, Zhu Yanyi found herself in a mysterious environment. Countless tiny glowing dots flew about in irregular patterns. Squinting her eyes, she realized these specks of light actually contained numerous items of various shapes. Some resembled spittoons, others dustpans. There were also shapes like pipes, bowls and plates, and even chamber pots. Zhu Yanyi was left dumbfounded. If someone were to obtain something like a chamber pot, who would dare to take it out? Indeed, human imagination knew no bounds, and creativity was endless. Even though she had once been an author, she doubted her own imagination could match that of these cultivators. She could only sigh, realizing that experience truly dictated everything.
"Feel with your heart, and seek the one that belongs to you." The voice of Venerable Yanluo sounded in her ear. Zhu Yanyi did not object, as it was clear he acted in her best interest. She closed her eyes, allowing everything around her to instantly settle into tranquility. She then focused her heart to perceive. Gradually, the already quiet environment seemed to grow even more silent. The entire world appeared to contain only her. Listening with her heart, searching with her heart, the layers of confusion suddenly dissipated. A single glowing dot appeared. Instinctively, she reached out. Opening her eyes, she found a chain resting in her palm.
She could not tell what material the chain was made of, but its appearance resembled a simple gold chain, seemingly quite ordinary. Strangely, it emitted a certain aura that other chains could not replicate. This aura made Zhu Yanyi feel an unusual sense of familiarity and comfort.
Before she had time to ponder further, she found herself back in the chamber where Yanluo and the others were present.
Yanluo clearly already knew everything that had transpired. Looking at the chain in Zhu Yanyi's hand, a trace of peculiarity and complexity flashed in his eyes, yet he said nothing. He merely stated, "This chain bears the name Jixiang. Within it lies a space called Ruyi. As for what exactly resides inside, I do not know. This chain was forged by the Supreme Emperor of the Divine Realm. It was once capable of housing certain creatures, but later, because the Feather Emperor was born within this space and drew upon the spiritual energy of the creatures there, it can no longer nurture living beings. Aside from its master, no one else may enter." Yanluo offered a brief explanation. "As for any other functions it may hold, you may inspect it yourself. There should be instructions within. You need only lock it with your spiritual power."
